Chartreuse & Denim When I booked my ticket to TX to visit my BFF Emily, she told me to pack my cowboy boots.  Well my friends, this is probably as close as it gets.  Skinny jeans and ankle boots — I know it’s far from rodeo material, but it was perfect for grabbing coffee and wandering the Riverwalk in San Antonio on a Sunday morning.  Consider it my city twist with a splash of country inspiration.   Chartreuse & Denim Chartreuse & Denim Chartreuse & Denim Chartreuse & Mint Mint Cupcake Necklace

LOFT Blush Anorak Jacketimage via LOFT

Not trying to jinx anything here, but this week, I’m officially storing my winter coats for hibernation.  It’s time to break out the lightweight outerwear and while I love myself a classic trench coat, I have my eyes on a different kind of jacket this season: the anorak.  It’s part utility, but full on fashion with plenty of ways to wear it.

First up: a flirty feminine look.  I’m loving the blush anorak jacket from LOFT, but Topshop makes a great alternative.  Pair it with a white lace dress and a pair of strappy wedges and you’re basically the epitome of spring.

I also dig the laid back look and nothing’s more classic than a color combo of navy, white and cognac.  Throw on a pair of Chucks (I’ve owned mine for over a decade!) and it doesn’t get much easier than that.

What do you think of the anorak jacket?  I’d love to hear how you’d style them!

Bloomingale's Friends and Family Sale

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight

You know I love a good sale — especially when involves brands like Coach, Tory Burch, and Rebecca Minkoff.  Bloomingdale’s is having their Friends & Family Sale where you can take 20% off nearly your entire purchase with code: FF14 (ends Sunday, April 6).

It’s the perfect time to splurge on designer pieces that rarely get marked down. I’m tempted to scoop up some summer accessories like a pair of mirrored aviators or printed wedges, but I might also go for a timeless piece like this black saffiano leather tote.  Tough decisions, I know.

So let’s get to shopping!  What do you have your eye on?
