LOFT Dressing Room Try On - February 2018

Cutout Sweater / Fuzzy Sweater / Chenille Cardigan / Ruffle Top / Bell Sleeve Blouse

I recently popped into a LOFT store after ordering a few new pieces and this weekend they’re offering 40% off full price and an extra 50% off sale items — just in time for some three-day weekend shopping! By the way, did you know that you can now make a purchase online and then pick up in your nearby LOFT store on the same day? This service was in the works right before I left my job there and I’m so so glad it’s now available! When I came in to pick up my order (I picked up this striped sweater, this graphic sweater and this bell sleeve tee), I did a quick scan of the store and found a few pieces that I just had to try on. I’m loving the color scheme of their latest delivery — lots of pretty pinks just in time and a dash of blue because it’s one of my favorite colors to wear.

Red and White Striped Sweater

Red & White Striped Sweater / Skinny Jeans

You know you can never go wrong with stripes and this red/white combo is especially perfect for a casual outfit. I love the button detail on the sleeves, but don’t love the fact that the fabric between the buttons pucker out a bit. I’m wearing an XS here but think if I got my hands on an XS petite that the sleeves would fit a little more snug on my arms.

LOFT Pink Chenille Cardigan with Bell Sleeves

Pink Chenille Cardigan / Cami TopSkinny Jeans

LOFT made an incredible chenille cardigan last fall (I wore it in a mustard color while apple picking in October). The pink sold out SO fast, but is back for spring with bell sleeves. It has mixed reviews online with some people saying it’s too short, but I think it’s actually a great fit. The fabric is incredibly soft and the flared sleeves are a nice, novel twist to a spring staple. I’m wearing an XS here and the sleeves hit perfectly at my wrists.

LOFT Fuzzy Sweater

Fuzzy SweaterSkinny Jeans

I never considered owning a fuzzy sweater until I laid my eyes on this one. I promise you that the short sleeves and shade of pale pink make this sweater more High Street than Sesame Street. I love it paired with skinny jeans, but I also saw it styled with these pink pants on a store mannequin. You can’t see it in these photos, but it’s also got a cute little tie on the back of the neck also. Wearing an XS petite here.

Pink on Pink Work Outfit

Pink Ruffle Blouse / Pink Pants

How perfect is this work look for spring? I’ve never purchased work pants from LOFT before since I usually go to Ann Taylor for my work clothes (I swear by these ankle pants for work!). I was pleasantly surprised with how great these pink pants fit. If I had to describe the color, I would say it’s a touch more subtle than bubblegum pink, but not quite blush or pale pink. I’m wearing a 2P here and even though they’re ankle pants, they still fit like full length on me (forever short girl problems). I went with an XSP in the blouse, which is truly a pale/nudish shade of pink. Love them both and definitely planning to wear this outfit around the office in the near future!

LOFT Cold Shoulder Top

Ruffled Cold Shoulder Tee / Skinny Jeans

It looks like cold shoulders aren’t going anywhere, although I’ve kind of eased up on them over the past few seasons. I was interested in the ruffle detail of this top when I saw it on the hanger, but I’m not so sure about it on me. Like, I can’t tell if it’s because the ruffle goes all the way around or if that there’s not enough, but something is a little off! I’m wearing an XS and for what it’s worth, it’s super soft and also comes in navy.

LOFT Striped Bell Sleeve Top

Bell Sleeve Blouse / Skinny Jeans

If there’s two things I can’t get enough of in my wardrobe, it’s stripes and bell sleeves. I actually wore a very similar top on the blog last year, but this one is way better quality and the material isn’t as stiff. It’s definitely the kind of top that you can wear to work or over the weekend. I love it so much that I’m considering buying it to replace my other one. Wearing an XS here and the sleeves hit me just past the wrist.

Have you browsed LOFT’s new arrivals lately? What are you loving for spring? Let me know in the comments below!

Fitting Room Try On / LOFT Summer 2017

50% off today only with code LUCKY50: Off the Shoulder Top / Floral Print Cami / Embroidered Striped Dress / Embroidered Off the Shoulder Dress / White Tassel Dress

In case you missed all of the 4th of July sales last week like I did, then today’s your lucky day! LOFT is making a reprisal with 50% off of everything. If we want to get technical here, they’re actually hosting a mystery sale where you enter your email and receive a promo code for 30%, 40% or 50% off. The trick to these kinds of sales is that there is almost always a 50% off code out there and this time it happens to be LUCKY50. Still on the fence about what to get? I’m sharing some of my favorites from a recent fitting room session that I had at the Flatiron store in New York.

Summer Style / Tropical Print Cami

Tropic Double Strap Cami / was $44.50, now $22.25 / wearing XS

You know I’m sucker for floral prints, right? I love the bright pop of red with this cami, which also comes as a cold shoulder dress, culotte pants and a drawstring skirt. What I especially love about this cami is the double strap detail and the v-neck — it definitely gives the top a more elevated feel!

White Sleeveless Dress with Tassels

Dot Embroidered Tassel Swing Dress / was $89.50, now $44.75 / wearing XS

Because you can never have too many white dresses — or at least that’s what I tell myself. This dress actually skews a little more off-white, but it’s still the perfect summer dress to me. I love the subtle embroidered detail all throughout the dress, plus the tassels are like icing on the cake. The swing cut makes this a relaxed, easy to wear outfit.

Summer Trend / Off the Shoulder Dress with Tassels

Striped Off the Shoulder Tassel Dress / was $59.50, now $29.75 / wearing XS

I read a few negative reviews of this dress online, but I completely disagree — I loved it! I mean, you had me at tassels! This is actually a knit dress, which is why it’s cheaper than some of the more refined dresses out there. It’s super soft, true to size and makes for the perfect summer outfit, whether you’re at the beach or in the city.

Summer Style / Off the Shoulder Tassel Top

Playa Off the Shoulder Top / was $54.50, now $27.25 / wearing XS

You may have seen me wear this top during a recent trip to San Francisco. I originally bought it because it was the perfect color combo for the 4th of July weekend, but I have a feeling I’ll be wearing it long after the holidays.

Summer Style / Off the Shoulder Embroidered Dress

Embroidered Off the Shoulder Dress / was $79.50, now $39.75 / wearing XS

Another embroidered, off the shoulder piece — do I sense a theme going on here? I thought the embroidery work on this dress was pretty cool. I love that it runs up and down the bodice of the dress, but also look at the sleeves! It’s kind of a fun take on the elbow patch — ha!  This is another knit dress that’s super soft. The XS is a little long on me — since the dress already has long sleeves, the ankle length hem looks a little matronly. If you’re a shorty like me, I’d go for an XP on this one.

Summer Trends / Off the Shoulder Embroidered Dress

Fiesta Dress / was $89.50, now $44.75 / wearing XSP

Sadly, out of all the dress that I tried on, this ruffle off the shoulder dress was probably my least favorite. It’s one of those that looks way better on the model than in real life, which is such a bummer! This cutie has so much potential, but the ruffles kind of fell flat for me and since the material is a little stiff, the tie-waist created crinkles in all the wrong places. I will admit, it does look better untied. It has 4 stars online, so maybe you might better luck with it. Happy shopping!
