Less Stress, More Smiles

How do you deal when you’re having a bad week?

Grey Suede Moto Jacket (only $40) / Navy Mockneck Dress (only $36) / Square Crocodile Embossed Bag (c/o) / Leopard Ankle Strap Heels

It’s been one of those weeks. Starting on Sunday when we rented a car to run errands and take photos around the city – and ended up getting a parking ticket! On Tuesday, someone bumped into James on the subway, which made him drop his phone onto the subway tracks (my biggest fear!!). Our apartment’s a disaster, I’m constantly feeling exhausted and I just can’t seem to keep up at work!

But I’m not stressed.

In fact, the older I get, the less stressed I feel about things – especially material stuff like losing your phone or getting a parking ticket. But even with work, instead of getting stressed, I find comfort in the fact that the things I don’t get done today will still be there tomorrow. And things always work out in the end.

Turns out, someone found James’ found and called him on his office line. They’re meeting up today! The money we lost because of the parking ticket, we made it up in blog collaborations and affiliate commissions. And the best silver lining of all – we made it to Friday and we’ll get to do it all over again next week. Until then, happy weekending friends!

Oh no! Sounds like a stressful week but I am so glad that your perspective is not. I love looking at things half full too and being grateful about simple things like having another day to be with your loved one is more than enough for me to keep the stress away. Enjoy your weekend and love your purse!

When I’m stressed I mentally review my priorities- I’m ok? People I live are ok? Great. Nothing else matters. Deep breath and move on.
