Easy, everyday outfits: no. 1

I’m back on the blog with easy outfits for early fall!

I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I’ve published a post on this blog. Truthfully, ever since I became a mom, my priorities are constantly shifting and if I can’t dedicate the proper time and focus into something, then I am 100% OK with setting it aside.

Well, over the past year I’ve learned that photos don’t have to be perfectly composed and my story does have to be perfectly narrated. I haven’t picked up my DSLR camera in over a year and shoot exclusively on my iPhone now because it’s quicker to document and edit in the moment. I’m now feeling back in the groove and I hope to be back on this corner of the internet more often!

So with that, let’s get to the outfits! These are looks that I wear in my everyday life – it’s a mix of business casual, smart casual and just plain casual outfits. I’ve left links where I can, but don’t be afraid to use what you have in your closet!

Monday: black mock neck top (S), black jeans (27P – same cut, newer version), brown belt with gold buckle (S), taupe tote bag, white pumps (1/2 size up)

Monday was rainy and I felt like matching the mood with an all-black outfit. I bought this sleeveless top last year and also have it in white. The mock neck makes any casual look a little more refined. These black jeans are an updated version of the pair I got last fall – it’s called the kick crop jean, and it’s truly my most worn leg shape!

Tuesday: denim shacket (XSP), black tank top (S), olive green midi skirt (S), brown tote bag (similar), white lug sole loafers (TTS)

I’ve been trying different ways to style this long denim jacket – it’s softer than your normal jean jacket and the long length makes it great for pairing with pretty much anything! I love it with this olive slip skirt. By the way, I got so many compliments on these white chunky loafers – they are so on trend!

Wednesday: burgundy and white striped shirt (XSP), brown belt with gold buckle (S), high waisted straight jeans (4S), taupe tote bag, brown loafers (TTS)

Something classic about a striped shirt and high waisted jeans, but the half-tuck makes it feel a little more casual and cool. These brown loafers are also a new addition to my fall shoe collection and I have a feeling they’re going to get a lot of wear!

Thursday: white cropped hoodie (S), taupe sports bra (S), taupe workout leggings (SP), New Balance 327 sneakers (TTS)

I get to work from home two days each week. I wore this athleisure outfit to drop off Theo at daycare and then ended up wearing this around the apartment for the rest of the day. I love this cropped hoodie because it looks like a quarter zip from the front.

Friday: striped t-shirt (XS), green sweatshirt (XS), tan tote bag, high waisted jeans (28XS), New Balance 327 sneakers (TTS)

Feeling like a full-on mom in this outfit. This striped tee is soft, stretchy, and the perfect fit. Since it’s a little on the shorter side (but not fully cropped), it’s easy to tuck into a pair of high waisted jeans. I love throwing this teal sweatshirt over my shoulders as an easy way to elevate the look.

Saturday: green pajama set (XS), cropped hoodie (S), fuzzy slippers

We had non-stop rain all weekend, so I started off the day in these super soft pajamas, which are on sale right now. The color is unique and perfect for fall.

Sunday: beige cardigan (similar), white bodysuit (S), brown canvas bag, dark wash jeans (27P), New Balance 327 sneakers (TTS)

After a couple of days of bad weather, we’re suddenly annual members of the local children’s museum. I wore this casual number for the outing and grocery shopping afterwards.
