Let’s be real: I’m usually the kind of girl that prioritizes comfort over appearance. At any given time, I’ve got a pair of leopard flats in my bag and a couple of booties under my desk. I love wearing heels, but I think the person who invented them is the devil. Add the fact that it’s Wednesday, and I can probably guarantee you that my waistline involves a bit of elastic.
So I haven’t really painted a good picture of myself, but I promise there’s a moral to this story. It used to be that style and comfort were mutually exclusive, but a LOFT’s newly reimagined lounge wear begs to different as it branches off into its own identity known as Lou & Grey.
I scooped up a few new pieces from the line (including this sweater, moto jacket and tee dress) and I can’t tell you how obsessed I am with them. Dressing up on Wednesdays just got a whole lot easier.

I don’t care how unseasonably cold it is right now, I’m ready to lighten up — both in layers and color. As I twiddle my thumbs for spring to roll around, I’m gravitating towards shades of pale. You already know how I feel about all things blush, but paired with a crisp white skirt and a pair of silver pumps and maybe — just maybe — I’ll survive this excruciatingly slow transition between seasons.

February is a wrap, which means I’m recapping another month of purchases. Earlier this year, I set a monthly shopping budget of $350 with the goal of being more responsible with my money, more selective with my shopping and more creative with my wardrobe,
This month, I had my eyes on all things spring. I’m talking textural knits and lighter jackets — pieces I know will get some major wear this season. I also bought a pair of slim white pants, which I guarantee you will end up stained by the next shopping recap. Finally, I scooped up a pair of leopard flats and a mini bow ring to round out the month with something a bit novel.
Coming in a bit under budget this month (and last month!), I might be setting my eyes on something a little more extravagant come March. Stay tuned!
