We all have things about ourselves that we’re super self-conscious about. Well, I’m about to share mine with you.

It’s my damn round head. I know – it’s a ridiculously trivial thing to worry about, but if you haven’t noticed, I rarely wear hats on the blog and I always wear the same style of sunglasses. And here’s a crème de la crème of confessions: Whenever James and I take photos together, I make him lean in a little closer to the camera than me. Because I know what works and what doesn’t work for my unusually large noggin.

Honestly though, it’s silliest thing to be self-conscious about and my self-deprecating comments are mostly made in jest. I did feel like I made major progress when I found the perfect beanie to keep my thinker warm for the winter. Not sure what it is about it, maybe it’s the cut, the cable knit detail or the balance of the equally large pom pom on top, but I’ve been wearing it nonstop since I came back to New York. I scooped it up in olive and grey and have my eyes on the cream version next. If you too suffer from a oversized cranial dysmorphia*, don’t worry there’s hope for us.

*Just kidding, not actually a medical term.

    • I feel your pain girl! I think what’s nice about it is that it’s super stretchy and thick, so it actually fits without over-accentuating our large noggins haha! Good luck! xx

I absolutely love this plaid coat! What a great winter piece. Hahaha my dad thinks he has a big head, and he always talks about it! We all think it’s fine though. Yours looks like a perfectly reasonable size 🙂

  6. Ok first of all cutest beanie and that sweater jacket looks so cozy! Second of all…. dude I swear your head doesn’t look abnormally big lol! And I’ve met you a few times in person (speaking of, date soon?:)) But I know we all get self conscious of things that often no one notices!

  8. I have a weirdly large head too! But mine is shaped different than yours. My face is narrow, but from the side I look like one of those ancient Egyptian busts. Which looks even weirder on a small body (as you probably know). The only time I have to buy a size large in anything is in hats 🙂
