I may have lived in New York City for nearly a year and half now, but there will always be a little bit of tourist in me. I mean, how could you not just be in awe? This past weekend, Tracy and I paid a visit to the Bowery Mural, a giant wall space on the corner of Bowery and Houston that periodically features street artists from around the world.

This mural is going down in the books as one of my faves. Bright colors and a bold print — it was love at first sight and it was the perfect canvas for my tweed moto jacket, faux leather pants and neon accessories that look like they could’ve came from the mural itself. What can I say? I like my street style to match my street art.

color crush: pale pink

Love is in the air (isn’t it always?). Valentine’s Day and spring are just around the corner and the season has got me seriously crushing on all things pale pink. Whether it’s just a dash or a full on overdose of blush — I have every intention of wearing this ultra-feminine hue like it’s the new black.

sleek & chic

I’m a little shy when it comes to form fitting dresses — I feel uneasy just thinking of the phrase “skin tight” and all the images that conjures up. But then came along this dress from Langford Market. Long sleeves and a conservative hem make me feel more chic than clubby. And the fit? Sleek and slimming, rather than another “sl-” adjective that I’d rather not say. I won’t be ditching my beloved a-line shapes anytime soon, but I can say that I’m getting over my form fitting fears one outfit at a time.
