how to: wear jewel tones.

It’s round three of my style collaboration with Glitter & Grace, Bows & Sequins, and Mix and Match Fashion and this might be my favorite collection of looks yet!  This time around, we’re showing you how to wear jewel tones.  It’s an easy way to incorporate color into your fall wardrobe without looking like you’re stuck in the wrong season.

As a lover of all things in excess, I prefer to pair my jewel-toned skirt with more bright colors.  See how Sara, Jessica, and Tara styled their jewel-toned outfits and let us know what you think of this round’s looks in a comment below!

runway inspired.

While I’m so excited to be experiencing my first fall in NYC, a few runway shows from NYFW have me already counting down the months until spring!  Bloglovin‘ is challenging bloggers to create a runway inspired post from Rebecca Minkoff’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to take elements from her spring collection and integrate them into my fall wardrobe.

My favorite elements from RM’s show were the graphic lines and baroque-style prints — a balanced contrast between traditional patterns and modern details.  So when I found this baroque graphic print dress from Topshop, I knew it would pair perfectly with a peplum top for a look that’s both edgy and sophisticated.
