New life goal: get myself to somewhere tropical at least once a year. I feel the major need to be on a beach right now, but taking an hour-long subway ride to the Rockaways doesn’t sound so appealing. Ever since we went to St. Martin last year, I’ve been itching to go back and wade through the serene blue waters with frozen drink in hand. Sadly, a trip to the Caribbean just isn’t in the cards right now, so I’ll just have to bring it to me. I’m loving all things tropical print right now, from maxi skirts to matching sets, just add a piña colada and voila — it’s instant island life! Or at least we can pretend it is. It’s finally starting to warm up around here and I’ve got vacay on my mind. It’s probably because, despite the fact that I’m a few years out of school, I always associate the month of March with spring break. I’d give anything to be by the beach right about now, but I’ll have to settle for being poolside in a few weeks when I head back to Arizona. Whenever the new year rolls around, I find myself re-visiting some not-so-new resolutions. Staying fit is usually at the top of my list — not necessarily because I’m feeling guilty about all the sweets I devoured over the holidays (okay, that’s part of it), but because I want to challenge myself to be stronger and healthier than the year before. This year is no exception (mission #bridebod is in full effect) and thankfully, chic workout gear like these sneakers or these leggings make it much easier to hit the gym in style.
