Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: The Perfect Fall Outfits

Floral Romper / Drop Earrings / Pink Crossbody Bag / Peep Toe Booties / Gold Cuff / Burgundy Crossbody Bag / Long Sleeve Dress / Tassel Bangle / Leather WatchTan Booties

Guys, I don’t want to alarm you, but it’s AUGUST, which means: 1) the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially ending in one week and 2) summer is slipping away and fast. I’m soaking up every ounce of it I can this week while I’m in California, but I’m also starting to look ahead to planning my fall wardrobe. It’s a good thing #NSale is all about brand new fall pieces, like this moody floral romper or this boho-inspired bell sleeve dress. These tall ankle booties are definitely an investment, but I’m already imagining all the outfits I could wear with them over the coming months. So while I’m not mentally ready for fall, at least my wardrobe will be.

Okay, I get it – the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the time to stock up on all your fall essentials, but let’s be real here … there’s over a month left of summer and there’s no way I’m trading in my swimsuits for sweaters just yet. In fact, I’m heading back to California for the week, so I thought I’d put together the perfect poolside outfit made up of markdowns from #NSale. The swimwear selection is a little slim, but I’m still lusting after this printed bikini and tassel trim coverup. And an inflatable rose gold flamingo? She’s gonna be the belle of the ball/pool party next week. Happy weekending everyone!

How to Be Thirty

Dress / Bag / Lipstick

As you may or may not have heard, I turned 30 this past week (and walking down the street with these balloons is the equivalent of shouting it from the rooftops). A lot of people have been asking me if it feels any different. At first, I said no, because the differences between being 30 and 29 years and 364 days old is non-existent. But thinking about 30 year old me versus 20 year old me makes me feel like I’m a completely different person. Keep reading for some of the lessons that I learned in my twenties and how I hope it will help me to be 30.
