My First Outfit from the 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Mondays are slightly more bearable when you’re decked in a brand new outfit.

I bought a TON of stuff from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. We don’t have a Nordstrom in NYC yet, so I ordered more than I intend to keep, hoping that after I try everything on, I’ll return a bunch. I’m a little scared that 75% of the things I tried, I really really love. Whoops!

Anyways, I found myself gravitating toward clothing for work. As you know, I have about a zillion dresses in my closet — when I’m scrambling to get out the door in the morning, it’s much easier to throw on a dress (like this navy scalloped number!). On the days that I have a little more time, I love putting on a pair of wide leg pants and a pretty blouse.

There was a time when I was scared of wide leg pants (I think it was the first time culottes or palazzo pants were a big thing back in the 2000’s). At 5’2”, I thought the width would swallow me whole! Turns out there was nothing to be afraid of and now they’re my go to pants! They’re a great work wear option, especially in the summer when anything that sticks to your body is the worst. Also, when it feels like you’re wearing pajamas in the office, I’d call that a win.

Back to my outfit! I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of white wide leg pants and was so happy to find this Vince Camuto option as part of the sale. The description online says it runs a little large. I’m wearing a size 0 here and while it’s not as snug as I’d like, it still fits well! Side note: I’m also loving this navy pair! This striped top caught my eye because of the slit up the cuff — I think it looks so sharp! Lastly, I’ve never owned a purse in the shape of this colorblock bag! I think it’s super darling, plus it comes with a crossbody strap and is under $35!
