Spring 2018 Fashion Essentials

Ciao T-Shirt / Straw Circle Bag / Cream Eyeshadow Stick / Pink Sneakers / White Crossbody Bag / Pink Espadrille Wedges / Contour Stick / Tinted Moisturizer

Just when I’m trying to be better at not spending a lot on shopping – spring comes along with so many pretty things to buy. Whoops! If you can’t tell, there’s a bit of pattern in my recent purchases for April: pretty pinks, trendy bags and easy, breezy make up! I’m sharing a review of everything I bought this month after the jump!

Ciao T-Shirt: My love for graphic tees knows no bounds. I own this “Streets of New York” shirt and this “Pretty Please” tee, and this “Ciao” shirt is the most recent addition to my collection. I love the pink and red combo and relaxed fit!

Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Bronze: I’ve been wanting to try my hand at eyeshadow sticks – especially after hearing good things about Laura Mercier Caviar Stick (which I also bought in rosegold). They’re pricey, but I find that I only use one or two colors on an eyeshadow palette anyway, so might as well invest in a few colors that I’ll use over and over again. They’re so easy to use, the colors are pretty pigmented and they actually last the entire day! I just bought another Laura Mercier stick in the color Au Naturel for a more everyday matte shade.

Topshop Bella Straw Tote Bag: This has got to be my favorite purchase from the month. I bought it right before our trip to Savannah a few weeks ago. It’s somewhat of dupe of this designer version, but in my opinion it’s even better! It’s structured, so it sits up on its own and is surprisingly roomy! I fit a pair of heels and my blogging camera in there!

Old Navy Blush Canvas Sneakers: This was another impulse buy while I was partaking in some retail therapy during a work trip in Austin. It was surprisingly cold while we were visiting earlier this month so I needed to pick up some close-toed shoes. The perfect excuse to pick up a pretty pink pair for only $15! I secretly have my eye on this cactus version next.

Yoome Circular Ring Crossbody Bag: This is actually a dupe of the Chloe Nile Bracelet Bag. You know I love a good Chloe bag, I actually have the real version of the Drew and the Marcie (both of which I got on sale over the years). But somehow, I just couldn’t justify coughing up $1700 for the bracelet bag. Thank god for designer dupes on Amazon! This one comes in 21 different colors and sizes and runs for under $50! The quality is actually pretty decent and structured. I’m super excited to wear this one for spring and summer!

Soludos Espadrile Wedges: I’ll admit that this was a blogger-inspired purchase. I’ve been seeing these wedges everywhere and I think they look so darling in blush. I wore them for the first time yesterday and sadly they hurt like hell. I have wide feet, so the toe box cuts me at a weird spot, but I’m hoping they break in after a few wears. Fingers crossed!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Stick in Fawn: I’ve been using the Anastasia cream contour kit for nearly two years now, but similar to my newfound love for eyeshadow sticks, I really want to simplify my makeup routine. Contouring my cheek and jawline is so much easier with this stick and now I don’t have to carry around the entire palette in my makeup bag. I definitely recommend!

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (Oil Free): One word: OBSESSED. This tinted moisturizer is so good – it’s got SPF 20 and makes for a great base layer underneath primer and foundation, or on its own for those lazy days (which is me Monday through Friday). I swear my makeup looks way better when I start with this as my moisturizer.
