What to Wear on the Weekend

Dress // Sunglasses // Sandals // Maxi // Necklace // Tote // Rings // Pendant // Sneakers

For the first time in a month, I get to enjoy a weekend without plans and I couldn’t be happier.  No work trips, no family reunions, no outlandish adventures (we’ll save those for the weeks to come).  The only thing on my agenda might be a boozy brunch, a date with Netflix and a little bit of shopping.  So since I’m taking it easy this weekend, I’m looking to effortless pieces like a flowy maxi dress or a delicate necklace to keep things refined and relaxed.  What are your non-plans this weekend?

Military Green Top & Leopard Heels

I know, right off the heels of me declaring my endless love for summer colors, I come back with a darker palette of military green, black and leopard.  What can I say?  I’ve been a bit of a mixed bag lately.

Military Green Top & Leopard Heels

The tricky part is as much of my mixed feelings as it is my mixed wardrobe.  I’m not ready to say goodbye to summer, but all new clothes have me excited for fall.  It’s a conflict that can only be resolved by compromise — combining darker shades of color with light fabrics and simple cuts.  I’m loving this silky cami (on super sale!) paired with a delicate necklace, crispy white shorts and my favorite leopard heels.  Who said you can’t have the best of both worlds?

Pastel Tie-Dye Romper

Does anyone else feel like summer is slipping away too quickly?  The days are getting shorter, temps are getting cooler and fall is waiting impatiently in the wings.  In the meantime, I’m trying to enjoy this last stretch of the season — planning a few more adventures and wearing as much color as possible.

Watercolor Romper

Cue this pastel watercolor romper: it’s soft and flowy and has a playful little surprise in the back.  Don’t be surprised if you find me living in this all the way through Labor Day.
