I wasn’t looking forward to tallying up May’s purchases for this month’s shopping budget, mostly because I partook in a bit of pre-vacation shopping before St. Martin. My favorite purchases of the month: pom pom scarves, printed shorts and a gorgeous pearl necklace.
Surprisingly though, I managed to stay under budget since most of the pieces I bought were relatively inexpensive … What can I say? I’m a sucker for cheap thrills! By now, you’re probably familiar with my love for rompers … but jumpsuits? That’s a new story. I mused about them earlier this month and since then, I’ve been dying to take one for a spin.
For a jumpsuit newbie, a simple black number is pretty foolproof (but I’m dying to try it in a bold color or a playful print). I love the relaxed look paired with cobalt heels and a woven clutch. It’s understated, but put together and will probably be my new uniform for all the fabulous summer nights to come.

Wednesdays are for wanderlusting, so don’t be surprised if you catch me daydreaming of my recent trip to the Caribbean. I wore this outfit for an easy day at the beach. A silky t-shirt and a pair of ikat-printed pom pom shorts helped me tackle the only two items on my to do list: drinking piña coladas and soaking up the sun.
