This week, I …
• Got a little shoe shopping happy with an additional 30% off Madewell’s sale items. I scooped up a pair of cognac biker boots and leopard haircalf flats.
• Experienced my very first snow days! EVER. I mean, I’m not mad that this turned into a five day weekend, but I am sick of the whole polar vortex schtick.
• Am celebrating Valentine’s Weekend with the beau. On Friday, I treated him to dinner out and tonight, he’s whipping me a special homemade meal. Role reversal FTW!
• Made my very first foray into the world of cropped tops and it’s not as scandalous as I thought! What fashion risks have you taken lately?
• Tested out my new camera backstage at the Diego Binetti runway show. Such a fun way to experience NYFW!
• Found the perfect coat and handbag for spring — now, if only the weather would take a cue.
• Am debating on buying these tartan print loafers. They’re on major sale right now, but do I need them? Can I wear them this spring or will I need to wait until fall? What do you think?
• Played local tourist in front this amazing mural on the corner Bowery and Houston. It was the perfect backdrop for a street style-inspired outfit!
• Am heading over to J.Crew to take an additional 50% off sale items! I’ve got my eye on these leopard wedges, this contrast collar coat, and this swiss dot dress.
• Just joined The StyleUp, a fun style inspiration site that gives you outfit and shopping recommendations based on your taste and weather. Check it out and you might find a few outfit shots from yours truly!

Apparently, I never knew what a real winter felt like until now: the year of the polar vortex. Last year, it snowed only three times over the course of several months. This year, it snowed three times in a matter of days. Let’s just say, my dog (who is also experiencing his first real winter) is not pleased.
While I still refuse to buy a puffer jacket, you’ll probably find me decked out in all other winter gear, trying to hold on for dear life until spring. My winter uniform usually involves a chunky knit sweater and faux leather leggings (underneath of which there’s another layer of thermal wear). I also prefer schlepping around the city with a crossbody bag so that I can keep my glove-covered hands properly shoved into my wool coat. So tell me, how are you surviving this year’s winter? I’d love to know — unless you live in California or Arizona, in which case we’re not currently on speaking terms.

I’m always ready to wind down by Thursday. The weekend’s on the horizon and the wardrobe usually takes a turn for the minimalistic. That means reaching for the faux leather jacket instead of a structured blazer and a soft v-neck tee in lieu of a flowy blouse. A tuxedo striped pant and a few pops of color seal the deal and will get me through this final stretch of the work week. Hang in there friends!
