I used to think I had my wardrobe basics covered when it came to dresses. Little black dress? Check. Little white dress? Check and check. But a little leopard dress? Where have you been all of my life?!
I’m no stranger to leopard print: I’m talking pumps, flats, bags, multiple blouses and sweaters. I usually take leopard in small doses, so a dress is a new one for me. But I really don’t know why it took me so long add one to the wardrobe, because when you find the right print and the right cut and the cutest leather trimming, the idea of a little leopard dress doesn’t seem wild at all.

Three years ago today, I started this blog. I bought a DSLR, threw together my first outfit (mixed prints nonetheless!) and dragged my boyfriend to the park to snap a few photos. I had no idea what I was doing.
Not to mention, I was incredibly shy about blogging when it first launched. There I was, in my second year of law school, planning outfits instead of writing outlines. The worlds didn’t seem to mix, but I put myself out there in front of my friends, classmates and anyone else with internet access. And I have never looked back.
Now my blog is an extension of me and I couldn’t be happier. I would say it’s a labor of love, but it doesn’t feel like labor ever. I blog because I want to inspire others, but also because it inspires me. It drives me to experiment with my personal style, to experience new things and to go beyond my comfort zone.
This week, I’ve been looking back on how my style has evolved over the past three years, but what astounds me more is how much I’ve personally evolved since starting this blog. I can genuinely say that I’m more confident, more colorful, more curious and hell of a lot happier for it. Most of all, I’m so proud to have friends like you following along! Here’s to many more stylish years to come! xo

Happy 2014! One of my resolutions is to get more mileage out my wardrobe, so I’m starting off the new year with some old favorites. That means reviving an old polka dot sweater for the first time in over a year.
As a blogger, I sometimes feel like there’s a pressure to constantly be buying new clothes and wearing the latest trends. Hey, I’m all for shiny new things, but there’s something even more satisfying about breathing new life out of old clothes. Granted, I did just scoop up a bunch of new clothes on sale over the holiday break, but I promise to wear those pieces to shreds!
