This week, I …

• Got a little shoe shopping happy with an additional 30% off Madewell’s sale items.  I scooped up a pair of cognac biker boots and leopard haircalf flats.

•  Experienced my very first snow days!  EVER.  I mean, I’m not mad that this turned into a five day weekend, but I am sick of the whole polar vortex schtick.

• Am celebrating Valentine’s Weekend with the beau.  On Friday, I treated him to dinner out and tonight, he’s whipping me a special homemade meal.  Role reversal FTW!

• Made my very first foray into the world of cropped tops and it’s not as scandalous as I thought!  What fashion risks have you taken lately?

• Tested out my new camera backstage at the Diego Binetti runway show.  Such a fun way to experience NYFW!

• Found the perfect coat and handbag for spring — now, if only the weather would take a cue.

• Am debating on buying these tartan print loafers.  They’re on major sale right now, but do I need them?  Can I wear them this spring or will I need to wait until fall?  What do you think?

• Played local tourist in front this amazing mural on the corner Bowery and Houston.  It was the perfect backdrop for a street style-inspired outfit!

• Am heading over to J.Crew to take an additional 50% off sale items!  I’ve got my eye on these leopard wedges, this contrast collar coat, and this swiss dot dress.

• Just joined The StyleUp, a fun style inspiration site that gives you outfit and shopping recommendations based on your taste and weather.  Check it out and you might find a few outfit shots from yours truly!

This week, I …

• Am heading over to Kate Spade where they’re offering 20% off your purchase today only!  On my wish list: this red bow bagthis hot pink skirtthese two toned pumps and pretty much everything else in their new arrivals.

• Shared my latest color crush.  What do you think of this ultra feminine hue?

• Think I’m ready to make my foray into cropped tops.  I love the idea of pairing this top with this skirt.

• Discovered (the hard way) that airport security is not a big fan of statement necklaces.

• Learned that I will forever be a sucker for black and white stripes.

• Am officially sick of winter.  Bright blooms and bold colors from here on out!

• Wish I could justify buying this insane floral jacket or this gorgeous floral skirt, but for now, I’m just going to ogle them from afar.

• Watched the Super Bowl — and by “watched,” I mean occasionally looking up at the screen when a cute commercial came on.  But I did pick the Seahawks to win, because I love me an underdog.

• Am swooning over this black and white windowpane dress.  Tres chic!

• Flew to Raleigh, NC on my first day of the new job for a leadership conference.  I feel so inspired and lucky to be a part of such an amazing brand!

Valentines Day DIY Calendar

This week, I …

• Bought this scalloped hem dress.  The boyfriend asks: “Did you cut those out with those craft scissors?”

• Hit my halfway mark of year 27 and I have barely completed anything that I set out to do this year.  Ugh, time to get my ass in gear!

• Am contemplating whether I need a pair of silver pumps this spring.  Yay or nay?

• Really started getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit.  Prepare for red, pink and heart-shaped everything!

• Was crushing on all things powder blue, but this pale pink beauty might be my new favorite color for spring.

• Have a good laugh every time someone says I should buy this Kate Spade plate because it has my blog name on it, but it’s actually this necklace that’s on my wish list!

• Set my eyes on this varsity jacket.  It’s not my usual style, but I really dig it.

• Tallied up this month’s shopping expenses.  I was under budget and saved over $500 in discounts.  I’d call that a win!

• Booked my ticket to North Carolina for the Fourth of July.  Feels so far away, but I can’t wait for a weekend at the lake house with my best friends!

Celebrated my last day of work at my old job.  Starting on Monday, I’m off on an exciting new journey with ANN INC.!
