sweater + leather.

My favorite part about dressing for fall is definitely playing around with different textures.  It’s the easiest way to incorporate a multitude of looks into one.  A light-knit sweater and a (faux) leather skirt make for a nice balance between prep and punk, but the jeweled collar necklace and lace clutch add a feminine feel.  Outfit identity crisis? Maybe, but mixing and matching is just way too fun.

jason wu x target.

Target’s latest designer collaboration debuts in stores tomorrow.  This round, it’s with American designer Jason Wu, who’s a notable favorite of Michelle Obama.  The collection features adorably feminine looks, complete with darling dresses, a-line skirts, and playful accessories.  I’m loving both the floral and white dresses so much, that I’m considering a cheat day from “No Shopping February.”  Oh what’s a girl to do?
