Casual Outfit + Statement Pieces Excuse the brevity, but sometimes simplicity can be punctuated with a statement piece or two. For me, an ornate necklace and leopard pumps are all I really need to kick an otherwise ordinary outfit into high gear.

color crush: radiant orchid

By now, I’m sure you’ve already heard all the hubbub surrounding Pantone’s 2014 Color of the Year: Radiant Orchid. Pantone is the “global authority” on color — a gig that was probably made up by someone just because they could. Either way, I’m digging the rich shade of purple/fuschia/pink and I plan to add more of it into my wardrobe come spring. What do you think of the purple proclamation?

Leopard is my go to for elevating an otherwise neutral look. But what happens when you pair the ferocious print with an equally bold palette of colors? A completely obnoxious outfit or a surprisingly fun combo? I’ll let you be the judge.
