One of my favorite dresses is back for fall. I originally fell in love with this teal maxi dress from LOFT earlier this summer and I plan on wearing it until it’s too cold to be rockin’ the side slit. The best part is that transitioning a maxi from summer to fall doesn’t require that much effort. All you need is a denim jacket and a leopard clutch and you’ll have that dress doing double duty in no time. When the weather’s great, life’s great. Simple as that. The past few weekends have been phenomenal: gorgeous sunshine, a gentle breeze and tons of fresh air. Even though I know we’re living on borrowed time (#winteriscoming), I’ll be milking this gorgeous weather for as long as I can. That means easy and relaxed pieces and when possible: drawstring waistlines. Believe me, I’ll be keeping things as light and loose before it’s eventually time to pile on the layers.

The best part about dressing up for New York Fashion Week is experimenting with different looks for all of the different events. Over the course of the week, I went from refined and relaxed to prim and proper to everything in between. It’s like donning a new costume every time I walk out my door.
So when I put on this white bell-sleeved dress from Lulu*s, it felt like taking on a whole new style persona. Definitely not my usual MO, but I loved the idea of the flared sleeves paired with delicate jewelry and my new favorite watch. Ultra feminine with a hint of hippie. Sounds like an interesting character to grab a drink with, right?
