New life goal: get myself to somewhere tropical at least once a year. I feel the major need to be on a beach right now, but taking an hour-long subway ride to the Rockaways doesn’t sound so appealing. Ever since we went to St. Martin last year, I’ve been itching to go back and wade through the serene blue waters with frozen drink in hand. Sadly, a trip to the Caribbean just isn’t in the cards right now, so I’ll just have to bring it to me. I’m loving all things tropical print right now, from maxi skirts to matching sets, just add a piña colada and voila — it’s instant island life! Or at least we can pretend it is. Yesterday, I styled a pair of dark washed, straight legged jeans from Lee and I have to admit, I loved branching out and trying a new cut of denim. Today, I decided to go for something that was little more up my alley: black skinny jeans. It’s a wear-with-anything kind of piece and a major staple in my closet. To up the ante, I added a striped top and a striking red coat for a look that’s effortlessly refined and totally reminiscent of my recent trip to Paris.

#FBF to our last full day in Paris. We took a final stroll long La Seine, which looked a little gloomy during the day, but oh-so glorious at dusk. From there, we visited Notre Dame and picked up the most decadent ice cream at Berthillion. By the end of our visit, I was channeling my inner-Parisian with a denim shirt, a pair of skinny jeans (on major sale!) and a black wool fedora. If I could look half as effortlessly-cool as the locals, I would call that a win. Sending my love to one of my favorite cities I’ve visited thus far. Xx
