Bright colors will always be my jam, but lately, I’ve been gravitating more towards black and white. The combo is effortlessly sophisticated. It’s chic on its own, or the perfect canvas for a pop of color (see yesterday’s outfit for proof). Whenever I feel like I have nothing to wear (which is just about every morning), I try digging through my closet and dusting off a few oldies. I love pairing pieces that I haven’t worn in forever like this navy tank (May 2012) and this white lace skirt (December 2012) and suddenly discovering a new outfit to add to the arsenal. It’s a great way to rediscover your wardrobe and an even better way to start the week.

post-vacay blues.

Last week, I went off the grid during my trip back home to the west coast — no posts, no Instagrams, and only a handful of random tweets (to celebrate my first bite of In ‘n Out in almost a year, obvi). The radio silence made me slightly uneasy, but I was in desperate need for a little unplugging. Now I’m back in NYC and suffering a major case of post-vacay blues. The cure?
