Patriotic Plaid

Just as I was about to head off to North Carolina for the holiday weekend yesterday, Mother Nature decided to play a cruel cruel joke on us. After a day of clear blue skies, a major thunderstorm rolled right before our flight, resulting in delays and eventually cancellation.

But fear not — we’re resilient travelers and are back at it this morning with a rescheduled flight with hopes of being lakeside by the late afternoon. I’ll be there for the rest of the weekend, wearing all things red, white and blue. I’m loving this navy crochet lace skirt (on sale now!) paired with a little patriotic plaid for a casual/chic holiday look. Happy Fourth of July weekend my loves!

Simple Stripes

Summer is in full swing and all I want to do is play! My plans includes picnicking at the park, biking around the city, and checking off more items off my 27×27 list. With a whole slew of adventures planned for the season, I’m gravitating towards comfortable, effortless outfits — one stop shops like this textured stripe dress and a nautical-inspired necklace (which is 50% off through Friday!).
