Sparkle & Shine

Oh hey there, Monday … didn’t see you there. I’m back from a 48-hour whirlwind weekend in Arizona, where the fiancé and I met with potential florists and venues and shot engagement photos before hopping on a red-eye flight back to New York. It was a crazy product weekend, but not recommended for the faint of heart.

I wore this holiday-ready outfit at the recent launch of Roxy’s pop up shop in NYC, but shot it over the weekend while we were in Arizona because let’s be real … baring your arms and legs in December is more pleasant in the Southwest, than it is in SoHo this time of year. Wherever you are, I hope you’re celebrating the season with a little sparkle and shine. I don’t wear this jewel-collared blouse or these silver pumps often enough, but together, they make Monday morning a little merrier.

Pencil Me In

It’s been a while since I’ve rocked the pencil skirt … mostly because I tend to associate them with a conservative, buttoned-up vibe. In my past life, I came from a world of skirt-suits, where the options were black, gray and maybe a navy (if you were feeling wild).

Suffice it to say: to get me anywhere near a pencil skirt these days, it’s got to be bright and bold like this floral print or this leafy pattern (both an extra 40% off, by the way!). I love a printed pencil with an asymmetrical zipper sweater and a pair of ankle-strap pumps. It’s anything but your average office wear and that’s something I can get behind.

To The Max

Considering how much I’ve been loving a good maxi dress lately (see exhibit A and exhibit B), it was only a matter of time that it would translate over into skirt form. I snagged this burgundy maxi skirt (which you can score for an extra 50% off today only!) in petite so that the hem floats just around the ankles instead of dragging on the ground. I told you my hem lines were only going to get longer from here on out.
