Later this week, James and I are headed down to St. Martin for a little tropical getaway. I did a little pre-vacay shopping this past weekend, but I have a bit more outfit planning and packing to do. I’m thinking strappy sandals (although I’ll probably be barefoot the entire time), bright rompers and tropical print everything. There’s nothing like spring time in the city and if you think NYC is all pavement and skyscrapers, think again. Our little concrete jungle turns into a gorgeous garden. The sidewalks are lined with tulips and the streets are shaded in magnolia and cherry blossom trees. So why not dress to match the mood? Mix prints with a polka dot chambray shirt and a paisley print skirt and you’ve got to admit, it’s damn near impossible to have a case of the Mondays.

Happy Friday! Do you have any plans for the weekend? I’m hoping for a repeat of last week, hanging out at the park, wandering through new neighborhoods and discovering new local gems. The weather is perfect so a light knit jacket, an easy jersey dress and my new favorite bag is all I need to get this adventure started.
