Now that the cold weather is here to stay, my new uniform will probably consist of sweater dresses, leggings, and boots.  Don’t get me wrong, I love dressing up and getting creative with my closet.  But when it’s 7 in the morning, freezing, and barely light outside and I’m getting dressed for work, the only things I want to wear involve minimal effort.

Speaking of minimal effort — leopard and oxblood is such a no brainer combo.  So much so that Jess, Tracy and I unintentionally showed up to brunch on Sunday wearing variations of the look.  Stylish minds think alike, right?

Hard to believe that it’s November already.  The new month has been off to a rocky start, but the tough times have given me an idea of what I need in my wardrobe to make it through the colder weather.  Fur vests, high quality boots, and iPhone compatible gloves are just a few of the items at the top of this month’s list.  What’s on yours?

After a week of struggling through the Hurricane Sandy aftermath, most of NYC is up and running again.  Of course, there’s still a lot left to restore, especially outside of the city, but one thing’s for sure: fall is over.  Kaput.  Donezo.

So this past weekend, I stocked up on sweaters, leggings, and all things cozy, including this faux fur fest from the girls’ section of Zara.  Yeah, I’m an XL in girls’ clothing.  No shame — at least until I run into 10-year old girl wearing the same vest. Until that awkward moment happens, I’ll definitely be bundling up in this little guy all winter long.
