Before last year, I owned zero sweaters. That’s right. Zero. They were never a shopping priority while I lived in Arizona, but after deciding to move to New York, I started stocking up on thicker knits. Now that sweater weather is quickly approaching,* I can’t wait to start piling on the layers! I’m currently adoring this striped sweater from J.Crew Factory, which will pair perfectly with casual jeans and cool kicks.

I’m so excited to share a style collaboration that I’ve been working on with three beautiful bloggers: Jessica of Bows & Sequins, Tara of Mix and Match Fashion, and Sara of Glitter & Grace. Every other Wednesday for the next two months, we’ll be taking one trend and styling it four ways. It’ll be a fun way to challenge ourselves and hopefully give you inspiration on how to incorporate trends into your own looks.
For the first round, we’re showing you how to wear white after Labor Day. While many people still hold onto the belief that you shouldn’t wear white after summer is over, we say break those rules! They never made sense anyway!
For me, this challenge was the perfect time to break out the white blazer that I bought during Zara’s online summer sale. I paired it with floral pants and black accessories for a sharp, yet flirty look. For more, check out how Jess, Tara, and Sara will be wearing white after Labor Day over at their blogs!

Black and white might be a timeless combo, but I need my daily dose of color, no matter the outfit. A pop of red is the perfect cure for an otherwise classic outfit and the turquoise nail polish? Well, that’s just icing on the cake.
