Fall is moving along quicker than I had hoped for. The leaves are changing colors, the sun is setting earlier and the temps are dropping way too fast. I’m staying bare legged for as long as I can, but I suspect I’ll be adding more layers to the wardrobe if the season doesn’t chill out for a second.

As soon as donned my new coat from Julie Brown, my boyfriend told me I looked like a character out of Gossip Girl. Boys — they just don’t understand.
So maybe this is a little more feminine than my usual outerwear, but I immediately fell in love with the frilled collar. It’s playfully unexpected and the cut of the coat is perfect for fall’s chilly mornings and warm afternoons. To complete the look, I paired it with skinny jeans and leopard pumps. The final result? A look that you can wear in the Upper East Side or downtown. XOXO.
