I never really plan my outfits in advance (which is maybe why I’m perpetually running late), but I like to start my day off feeling like a blank canvas. Some days — like today — my outfit ideas start off soft and feminine and end up more forward and fierce. Case in point: a fun floral dress that was completely transformed by a little leather and a pop of neon. Take a little time to experiment with your wardrobe and I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised with all the possibilities!

Now that we’re on the last leg of 2013, the months are just flying by andnd the weather is changing just as quickly. It felt like we went from sweltering hot to cool and crisp overnight — but I’m not complaining. This month’s transitional weather called for a mix of light layers, darker colors, and my signature pop of prints.
