weekend wear.

Even though summer just barely started, I’m already back on the grind at work. I love my job, but working the 9 to 5 life has made me appreciate weekends more than ever. So as I’m counting down the hours left in the work week, I thought I’d share one of my favorite weekend looks.

By now, it’s no surprise that I’m obsessed with rompers. Seriously, I’d wear them everyday if I could! I think they’re the perfect summer staple — lightweight, versatile, and (most importantly) easy to thrown on. I paired this fuchsia piece with a floral print button-up for coverage and a leopard print skinny belt for definition.

The weekend uniform is ready … now I just need the weekend to get here.

grasping at straws.

I can’t think of a better texture that epitomizes summer than straw. Whether on a wedge or infused into a printed pattern, straw accessories compliments the warm weather perfectly. I’ll definitely be stocking up on these fun summer neutrals.

As for the elephant-shaped basket … I wouldn’t drop $325 on it, but its carefree whimsy is definitely an attitude I’ll be incorporating into my summer plans.

1. Aldo Huggins Wedge — $70
2. BCBGeneration Aztec Straw Clutch — $78
3. Kate Spade Eastward Avenue Kayla Clutch — $225
4. Kate Spade Royal Plantation Elephant Basket — $325
5. Forever 21 Diamond Pattern Fedora — $12.80
6. Asos Tara Striped Straw Clutch — $40.62
7. Steve Madden Westii Wedge — $89.95

summer time!

I’m back!  2 weeks, 5 finals, and a case of sugar-free Red Bull later and summer is finally here!  I can’t explain how great it is to welcome back more carefree days, happy hours, and even the sweltering heat.  More importantly, I’m excited to get back at doing what I love to do most: working on my blog.

I hate to have left it unattended for so long, but I’m back in full force.  This is technically my last summer to truly enjoy myself before I graduate, cram for the bar, and enter the real world — so you better believe my summer plans will include some memorable (and excessively photographed) adventures.

For now, I’m kicking off the summer with bright prints, bold colors, and a big ol’ smile.  Summer feels good.  Real good.
