Gorgeous Pink Peonies

This week, I …

• Stocked up on a few summer accessories with two gauzy pom pom scarves, a striped pouch, a slouchy tank and an ultra-soft chambray shirt.  Really not looking to tallying up my shopping budget for the month.

• Finally got around to hanging up these gold polka dot wall decals in our bedroom.  Can’t wait to show you the final product!

• Rounded up a few of my favorites from the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale.  I’m majorly lusting over this hot pink Rebecca Minkoff tote.  Do I or don’t I?

• Bought myself the cutest bike helmet from C. Wonder on major sale as a motivator to start biking around the city.  Stylish safety first!

• Cozied up in a neighborhood coffee shop and read #GIRLBOSS cover to cover.  It was a such a good, funny and inspiring read — I highly recommend it!  Next up: this book.

• Need to get myself a pair of drawing slouchy pants.  They’re perfect for breezy summer nights.  I’m loving them in black, stripes and lace!

• Am so excited it’s peony season!  The boyfriend doesn’t share the same enthusiasm, but he bought me these anyway. 😉

• Hung up the second piece of artwork to grace our apartment walls.  By the time I have this place fully decorated, it’ll probably be time to move out … Help please!

• Am so ready for summer to be here!  Kicking things off with a Pinterest recipe binge — there’s plenty of inspiration on my cocktail recipes board.

Full On Floral with Vente-Privee

Yumi Kim Blue Floral Spring MaxiA few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to play dress up with vente-privee, the site that pretty much pioneered the online flash sale biz.  They invited a few fabulous fashion bloggers to check out their NYC office, raid their racks and get their photos snapped.  I mean … how could you say no to that?

They had pulled a few favorites from upcoming sales and I promise you, they will not disappoint!  As for me, I immediately gravitated towards a stunning floral maxi by Yumi Kim (are you really that surprised?).  It’s originally priced at $245, but will be on major sale for $117 on vente-privee from Saturday 5/24 to Tuesday 5/27.  Mark your calendars people!

Turquoise Crossbody Bag & Navy Floral MaxiMy favorite part, besides getting to know the crew behind VP, was hanging out with a few of my favorites: Lauren, Ashley, Lindsey and Staci.  I loved seeing everyone working their magic in the dressing area and in front of the camera.  But I did feel slightly for the photographer, who probably had no idea what he was getting himself into (one more shot! one more shot!).
