Bag Stalking: Apparently yesterday was National Handbag Day. Not sure when that became a thing but it’s as good as any reason to snatch up my dream bag … or a more reasonably priced one.
On a School Night: This week, I saw Jessie J perform on the rooftop of Lord & Taylor and celebrated the launch of the William Rast collection. Totally drooled over her amazing voice and these killer faux leather overalls that she was wearing. Just your average Wednesday night.
Fall Frocks: I wore this little white dress and this navy drop waist dress on the blog this week … both are going to be on heavy rotation this season.
Winter is Coming: They say it’s going to be a rough winter, so I already have my eye on a few winter coats. Love this cocoon coat, this fur-lined anorak and this moto-inspired coat.

After a few days of seasonal back and forth last week, I’ve decided not to get too far ahead of myself with fall style just yet. I think Darlene said it best that summer doesn’t technically end until fall equinox on September 23rd, so why sell it short? That said, I’m keeping my summer favorites like this floral top and white midi skirt on rotation, while slowly sprinkling in a few new fall staples like this gorgeous teal handbag. Baby steps people. Baby steps.

If there’s anything that living in New York has taught me, it’s been mastering the art of multi-tasking to maximize my time, my productivity and most importantly: my wardrobe. I look for pieces that dabble in double duty — from desks to drinks or work to weekend — because ain’t nobody got time or closest space for a one-hit wonder. That’s why I’m loving this floral wrap skirt, which is proper enough for the office or playful enough for the outing with the girls. There’s plenty of mileage to be squeezed out of this one!
