There was a time (aka the past four years) when I would brave the cold, drag James outside and take blog photos in the dead of winter. This was all well and good if I was trying to feature my puffer coat in every outfit, but then you’d probably stop following me, right? It’s okay to be honest. These days, I’m less inclined to grin and bear it in below freezing temps. Instead, I’ve employed a few strategies to keep the blog content coming throughout the season.

When I moved to New York almost four and a half years ago, I came here with two very oversized suitcases, a handful of friends who were already living here and absolutely no job. While I don’t typically recommend moving to one of the most expensive cities in the country while unemployed, I want to let you know that it’s also not the craziest thing in the world to try.
