I have a little over one month of maternity leave left, and while I’m not emotionally ready for the big transition, I am looking forward to wearing “real clothes” during the week. Of course, I’m still planning to keep things very comfy. I saw that these paperbag waist pants had really great reviews (4 stars with nearly 13,000 reviews), so I bought them in this pretty lilac color for now (listed as “Puce”) and a dark mustard color for fall (listed as “Ginger”).
I got them in an XS and I think they’re super flattering (though I might try a S for a more relaxed fit while I work on my postpartum body). For now, I’m conjuring up all the ways I could wear this to work – with a crisp white short sleeve blouse or my all-time favorite sweater blazer. If you have a business casual dress code at work, I would keep the top pretty neutral and let the pants be the star of the show.
