As much as I love spring and summer, there’s something about the fall season that has me ready to recharge. Instead of running off on a crazy new adventure, I’m ready to slow down, stay in and cozy up. The fear of missing out is no longer an issue, because I’ve become totally okay with spending the day reading a book or taking a late afternoon nap (what I wouldn’t give for one of those right now…). This newfound content might have something to do with the fact that temperatures are quickly dropping and all I want to do is wrap myself up in the thickest, coziest sweaters (like this long chunky cardigan).
Crewnecks, turtlenecks, ponchos, cardigans, sweater dresses – I don’t really discriminate on sweater styles because I want them all! Lately, I’ve been gravitating toward “coatigans.” Have you heard of them? Here’s a pretty good example. They’re a mashup of coats and cardigans – the happy medium between outerwear and a layering piece and the perfect option for when the weather fluctuates in the most unpredictable ways during fall. I recently picked up this one in burgundy and have been probably wearing it way more than should (aka every day). So it only makes sense that I get it grey andblack too, right?
Another must have sweater this season: the tunic. Long enough to pair with leggings or throw over a pair of denim. This old outfit post has been trending lately and I totally get why. Combine the softest cashmere tunic sweater and a pair of thick, ponte leggings and you have the makings of the ultimate fall uniform. Are there any sweater trends you’re loving lately?
