Summer may be over, but my series of Italian travel photos are just about to begin.
I’m finally back home after a 10-day long journey through Italy with my husband and I still can’t believe it’s over. It feels like yesterday that we landed in Milan. I switched out of a tank dress and poncho combo and into this striped t-shirt dress and we hit the ground running.
We only spent one night in Milan, since it was more of a rest stop before we headed off to Venice. We fueled up on espresso, visited the Duomo (the city’s main cathedral) and strolled through the Sforzesco Castle and Sempione Park where these photos were taken. Milan was a mix of old world and new, but overall, reminded me too much of the hustle and bustle of New York.
The one thing I regret is not spending time to shop in the fashion capital of Italy. We walked around the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the world’s oldest “shopping malls,” but I must’ve been too jet lagged to pull the trigger on anything. I even walked away from one of my current dream bags, which would’ve been cheaper to buy there than in the U.S. Ugh, reverse buyers remorse anyone? I guess all the more reason to return and explore Milan in further detail. Stay tuned for more Italian adventures later this week and next!

It sounds like you’re having an amazing time! I totally get the jet lagged/no shopping thing. I did the same when I was in Portugal last year. Love this dress–it’s so effortless!
