Sometimes, a girl just wants to get all dressed up and see where the night goes from there. This, my friends, was one of those nights.

By the time Friday rolled around last week, I was ready to be as far away from the office as possible. Once I got out of work, I put on my new cold shoulder dress and my favorite shade of lipstick. I’ll admit, I didn’t even know “cold shoulder” was a phrase until I bought this top (in mint and blue), but I’m hooked. This dress in white is next on my wish list!

James and I kicked off last weekend with downtown date night at South Street Seaport. It’s one of my favorite areas in Manhattan, because it feels nothing like it – cobblestone streets, charming building fronts and a public plaza where a mini-Smorgasburg has set up shop for the summer (hello ramen burger!). It was a quick and easy escape in an equally quick and easy outfit. Exactly what this girl needed.
