If you’re looking to pick up flowers in New York City, there’s no shortage of corner bodegas to fill your $10 hydrangea fix. But if you want to up the bouquet game just a little, I know exactly the place for you.

But first, let’s discuss about the #OOTD. I picked up this white mesh skirt at the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale a few months ago (along with this crossbody bag). It’s been on constant rotation all summer long and I wore it on Sunday to celebrate my 29th birthday at brunch with friends. I paired it with a simple mint cami and my new favorite gladiator sandals for an easy, air look. (Not pictured: the giant Bloody Mary stain that I got during brunch … oops!).

After brunch, I went on the hunt for the perfect birthday bouquet and luckily, we didn’t have to search far. We found Sunny’s Florist on 6th St. and 2nd Ave. – a tiny flower shop tucked away on a busy corner in the East Village. If you weren’t looking for it, you might just walk by the unassuming corner store, but the arrangements they whip up are strikingly beautiful. For $30, we picked up the most beautiful blue bunch of hydrangeas and paired it with an assortment of other stems that I wish I knew the names of. A few days old and they’re still going strong – they’re the perfect little token from the weekend to get me through the work week.
