I’ve pined over matching sets before and lately, I feel like the trend has been popping up everywhere. From pretty prints to bold colors — this was a look that I had to try. So when I donned this floral two-piece back in Arizona, the first thing my fiancé said to me was, “Are you really wearing that?” #manrepelling
Not gonna lie, I did feel a little over the top in matching floral prints, but hey, why not embrace the garden party look? We could use a little spring over here on the East Coast! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: drapey dresses are kind of my thing and I can’t wait to be living in them come warmer weather. I brought this black coverup with me to Arizona and love the neon cords running down the sides to the open back. I ended up wearing it around and beyond the pool, because there’s nothing better than a dress that does double duty!

Can you believe it’s March already? The year is flying by way too fast and we’re only a few months in! I feel like March is such an underrated month, but I’m ready to kick it into high gear. I’m finally shaking off that hibernation-mode feeling and making it a goal to hit the gym in the morning, bike to and from work and grab drinks with friends more often. I’m officially back and re-charged. To kick of the new month, I thought I’d share a few things that are on my radar right now.
Currently reading: The Divergent series, because I’m a sucker for a YA novel. I picked up the first book over a year ago and couldn’t get into it, but loved watching the movie. Now I’m taking another stab at it before the second installation hits theaters and I can’t put it down. Plus, I love reading the book before the movie comes out to see how my imagination compares to the real deal.
Ready to: Ditch the puffer coat and the blanket scarves for anything lighter. I’m at the point where I want to burn every piece of winter clothing I own. East coast friends, I’m sure you can relate. West coast friends, I hate/envy you right now.
Need to buy: Every flowy maxi dress I can get my hands on — in preparation of spring, of course. I’m obsessed with this floral print number. Isn’t she gorgeous?
Can’t wait for: Daylight savings time to be over next Sunday so that we can get our longer days back.
On my to-do list: 1) Tackle spring cleaning. 2) Focus on decorating the apartment (after living here for 2.5 years). 3) Celebrate the fiancé’s birthday. 4) Wrap up any outstanding wedding to-do’s. 5) Head back to Arizona for a bridal shower hosted by the best friends I could ever ask for.
