As someone who has had ZERO snow days growing up, I have to admit: there’s nothing like waking up to a blanket of snow and an email saying that the office is closed for the day. Granted, instead of running outside to make snow angels, I was inside working remotely … but at least I got take my conference calls in pajamas all day.
Later in the afternoon, James and I ventured outside to grab coffee … and because I wanted an excuse to put on my cozy knit top and snow boots for the first time this season. By then, most of Winter Storm Juno had already turned into dirty slush, but it’s all good. I’ll just save the snow angels for the next blizzard!

Floral Dress // Blue Sunglasses // Double Ring // Tote Bag // Booties
The East Coast might be on a blizzard alert right now, but I’ve got florals on the mind. I’m so ready for bright blooms and bold colors, but sadly I think Mother Nature has other plans. That’s okay though, because there are still plenty of ways to wear floral prints during the winter season. I love this floral shirt dress with a pair of chunky black booties for a garden-party-meets-poetry-jam kind of look. Is that even a thing? Because it should be.
Swing Dress // Gemstone Necklace // Sunglasses // Floral Bag // Heels
If you’re looking for just a pop of print, this floral crossbody bag is it. Let the cobalt and coral combo do all the talking and pair it with an easy swing dress and strappy heels. This pretty print also comes in clutch, sandal and sneaker form and I will be taking one of each.
Striped Sweater // White Jeans // Sunglasses // Handbag // Gold Watch // Floral Pumps
I’m also in the market for a floral pump. It will literally put the pep in your step. I love it with a preppy striped sweater and a pair of white skinny jeans for a look that says spring is coming and I’m not looking back. Whatever look you prefer, I think it’s safe to say: winter needs to be over right now. Fin. Dunezo. End scene.

After finally investing in a puffer coat this winter, I’ve got to admit: I can’t believe I lasted two winters on the East Coast without one. True story: during my first winter here, I was scolded by an elderly lady in a Dunkin’ Donuts for being out sans puffer. So I’m sure she would fall out of her chair knowing that I wandered around the city in a sweater coat this weekend. #sorrynotsorry It was a sunny 40°F outside yesterday, which is double what it has been averaging over the past couple weeks. So even though there was a little bit of snow on the ground still, believe me when I say: I will take what I can get and shed the layers whenever I can. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
