I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is only two days away, which means Black Friday is just around the corner. This year, I’m staying in NYC for the parade, Friendsgiving and some serious sale shopping!
While drawing up my strategy for this weekend, I reread my tips on how to survive Black Friday. I imagine that most of it still applies while living in the city, but I plan to sharpen my game plan even more in order to avoid the crazy crowds in SoHo or on Fifth Avenue.
The biggest step: whittling down my wishlist to a few must have pieces. I go into Black Friday with my eye on a few major purchases (last year’s score: my beloved Tory Burch tote). It’s the only time of the year those things that never go finally do! So splurge a little and you’ll save a lot. Check out my Black Friday wishlist and a few other great investment pieces!

Well friends, it looks like winter has officially made its way to NYC. Between the sun setting at 4:30 PM and temps making its way into the low twenties, I might be going into hibernation earlier than expected.
As an Arizona girl born and raised, this will be my second go around with an NYC winter. I’m not sure I’ll manage through it any better than I did last year, but I know I’ll be curing my seasonal depression with plenty of rich colors, moody patterns, and luxe-looking accessories. Hey, whatever works right?
