Tighten Up

It finally happened guys: I broke out the tights for the first time this season. The thing is … hosiery and I kind of have a love/hate relationship. On the one hand, I get to keep twirling around in my skirts all winter, but give it a month or two and I’ll probably be ready to burn every pair I own. For now, I’m loving it with a light cream sweater (now 50% off!), a burgundy flared skirt and this cozy knit scarf (now 40% off!). So let’s enjoy the honeymoon phase while we’re still in it, shall we?

T-Shirt & Jeans

There’s something that feels so right about a t-shirt and jeans. Some might call it basic, but I call it a solid wardrobe foundation. Just be sure to have a few tricks up your sleeve if you want to liven up your laid-back look.

For me, I added a pair of strappy pumps and my new favorite black satchel, which I picked up from Fossil while shopping on Fifth Avenue last weekend (they’re offering monogramming with your purchase at flagship stores and online!). Together, they instantly elevate the elevate and I’d say that’s anything but basic.

Fit & Flare

With a blog name like mine, I think it’s safe to say that I like skirts. My closet is bursting at the seams with them — seriously though, I can’t close the doors to my closet anymore! So even though I clearly have my fair share of fit and flare, I couldn’t help but pick this blue flouncy number from Ann Taylor while I was out shopping on Black Friday.
