Say hello to my new favorite dress. I know I probably declare this all the time, but I can’t help it — I’m such a sucker for an easy dress in a pretty print. It was love at first sight when I tried it on (I’m wearing a Petite XS, FYI) and I knew I had to bring it home with me along with this top and this romper. Last week, I wore it to work and later on a date night with James. And I won’t be surprised if I keep wearing it well in to fall — this one is a keeper for sure.

I can rock a romper like no other (see yesterday’s outfit), but jumpsuits are a bit of unchartered territory for me. I don’t wear them very often, but I feel like they’re very easy to master since it’s a one-and-done kind of outfit. I recently picked up this spacedye printed jumpsuit from Lou & Grey – it’s 50% off right now and comes in petite, so it’s a win win. Battling June Gloom

I never realized that “June Gloom” was a thing until recently. We’ve been having a few showers here and there, but the mother of all summer storms rolled through NYC yesterday. When I say it went from sunshine to raining sideways in a hot second, I’m not exaggerating. It also happened to be the same day that 1) didn’t bother to check the weather in the morning and 2) forgot my wallet, leaving me with no choice but to bike home from work … in a pretty floral dress … drenched. Needless to say, yesterday was filled with a few poor life choices.

Back to the point at hand: I’m over this rainy day situation as much as I was over snow days last winter. I signed up for sunshine and clear skies and stacked my closet accordingly. I recently got this open-back sundress, this floral maxi print (and matching romper!) and this striped linen dress. Needless to say, the weather needs to start cooperating ASAP.
