One more outfit back on the west coast and it pretty much sums up my entire experience over the holiday break. Whenever I’m in California, life tends to slow down. The days feel longer and the sun is a little brighter. And I never feel rushed.
So forgive me when I say that you’ll usually find me in t-shirts and jeans when I’m back home. It might not be the most sartorially stimulating combination, but it sure is comfy.

There’s something magical about waking up to snow falling outside your window. And there’s something a little less magical about the day after it snows. This outfit was taken during the latter.
Pristine snow turns into dirty slush and melting ice drips down from the awnings. Not quite as fun, but it’s a good enough excuse to bundle up in faux fur and throw on the rain boots. Looking forward to warmer (and drier!) weather as I head home to the west coast for the holidays tomorrow!

This past Saturday, the BF and I went spent the afternoon in Brooklyn where we grabbed brunch, relaxed at a coffee shop and then indulged in a few sweet treats at a local bakery. It feels like a world away, but Brooklyn is one of my favorite places to explore.
Of course, whenever we pay a visit, I feel the need to mix up the wardrobe from the usual girly glam. I reached for my felt hat, plaid scarf and an oversized sweater for an effortless look. Thick rimmed sunglasses and skinny jeans might not be my thing, but I can still rock an outfit worthy of Williamsburg.
