And all of a sudden, it’s Monday again. I wish I could rewind to Saturday brunch with Courtney and Daisy. Getting together with other bloggers is one of my favorite things to do. Besides sharing a love for fashion, there’s a mutual understanding that no one touches their food until the perfect Instagram shot has been taken (an important principle that my fiancé has slowly come to embrace). For our afternoon outing to Foragers in Chelsea, I wore this black and white sweater and a pair of coated leggings. With a blog name like mine, I think it’s safe to say that I like skirts. My closet is bursting at the seams with them — seriously though, I can’t close the doors to my closet anymore! So even though I clearly have my fair share of fit and flare, I couldn’t help but pick this blue flouncy number from Ann Taylor while I was out shopping on Black Friday. Did I mention the skirt is on MAJOR sale today?
Not sure if you can tell in the photos, but the skirt has a gorgeous texture to it. I love it paired with a knit sweater and a faux fur infinity scarf for a look that’s warm, cozy and put together. Instead of getting straight back on the grind, I thought I’d start the week with a little romance. Gold foil, pink tulle, sparkly sequins … it’s definitely not your usual work wear.
