By now, you probably know that I gravitate towards fun prints and bright colors.  Well today’s outfit is no exception.  My bird print blouse (last seen here and here) has been in constant rotation ever since I scooped it up months ago.  This time around, a punchy pencil skirt and red hot pumps keep things colorful and classy at the same time.  Not a bad way to start off the week!

I’m not much of a pants person, but when I find a pair with the perfect fit and a playful print, I’ll definitely scoop them up.  I especially love this pair, which will transition perfectly into fall.  But pants always make me feel a little grown up … which is maybe why I avoid them?  I’m not ready to grow up!

bold blazer.

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you already know that I’m trying something different this week: styling a plain white t-shirt in three very different ways (my own modified version of College Fashion’s style challenge).  Besides making wardrobe changes heck of lot easier, the challenge really inspired me to look at my closet more creatively.

First up: the plain white tee all glammed up.  Black staples plus injections of bright, bold color make for a surprisingly easy and edgy transformation.  This might be my favorite look, but we’ve still got two more to go!
