Stylish Salute

During our trip to DC, I thought I’d give a stylish salute to our nation’s capital with a few patriotic prints. Mixing a camo jacket and a starry-print sweater made for the perfect weekend outfit for a bike ride through the city. And those leopard shoes … as American as apple pie, right?

Whisper White

Flowy White Lace Dress

Loose-fitting clothing isn’t usually my jam, but I couldn’t help but fall in love with this gorgeous white swing dress. One look at the detailed lace top and I know I had to make this dress work.

First comments from the boyfriend: Are you sure you want to wear that? You look pregnant. Maybe so, but I’ll take if it means I get a faux preggers glow that comes along with the ethereal feeling of this frock. Paired with nude heels and minimal jewelry, I let the dress speak — or rather whisper — for itself.

Little Red Dress

I’m kicking off the week on the heels of a fabulous little getaway to DC this past weekend (more photos to come, but you can preview a few my snaps on Instagram!). So pardon me if I’m a little too cheery for a Monday — I’m feeling refreshed, energized and inspired.
It finally felt like it had sprung and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate with a little red dress. Sound too saucy for you? Go for one with a playful print and a feminine cut and pair it with a chic little pair of black ankle strap heels. Style, smile and repeat.
