Fall Essential: Blanket Scarves

Last weekend, I started pulling out my fall/winter wardrobe from storage (aka underneath my bed). During the switch, I pulled out my collection of blanket scarves that I basically lived in all winter long. I may hate the cold, but I love layering up in these oversized accessories.

So it’s no surprise that they’re back in full force this year. Nordstrom and Asos definitely delivered this season, and surprisingly Ann Taylor has a few cute options too (love this blush-colored version!). Stock up on my favorite options at some great prices below – my top pick is only $33!

What to Wear with Cold Shoulder Tops

Without a doubt, this has been the summer of the shoulder. Cold shoulder tops, off the shoulder dresses – you name it, I’ve worn it, but this season’s MVP goes to this tie-strap cold shoulder top, which comes in a slew of summery colors and a festive floral print. It was my go-to outfit when James and I road-tripped up to New England and again when we drove back down into the city (don’t judge the double dip).

The beauty of this top – besides the fact that it’s only $40 – is that you can dress it up or down. I’ve already worn mine with a pair of white shorts and my Jack Roger sandals and, on another occasion, with a scalloped skirt and strappy heels. And my shoulders may or may not be tanner than the rest of my body because of it. Cold shoulder tan is the new farmer’s tan. And it’s totally worth it.
