It finally happened guys: I broke out the tights for the first time this season. The thing is … hosiery and I kind of have a love/hate relationship. On the one hand, I get to keep twirling around in my skirts all winter, but give it a month or two and I’ll probably be ready to burn every pair I own. For now, I’m loving it with a light cream sweater (now 50% off!), a burgundy flared skirt and this cozy knit scarf (now 40% off!). So let’s enjoy the honeymoon phase while we’re still in it, shall we?

It’s somehow Monday again and I need all of the coffee. This weekend went by much too quickly, what with the shorter days and now the pre-winter chill that has just officially rolled in. Up until yesterday, I could still get away wearing a simple cami or a short-sleeve tee outside but now sweater weather is here and I don’t think it’s leaving anytime soon.
So let’s have fun with it before we’re all condemned to bundle up in bulk. I love the idea of a light crewneck sweater over a floral pencil skirt. It’s cozy enough to survive a dip in degrees, but still refined enough for the office. An outfit that’s weather and work appropriate? Count me in.

I have another NYFW outfit coming atcha today and I especially love that this one’s a combo of business and pleasure — well, the kind of business that only goes down at Fashion Week (or maybe on a street corner). I took a day off from the real 9-to-5 and wore this look to a few showroom visits with some of my favorite brands. It was also the perfect getup to grab drinks later on with my girls Ashley, Ali, Lindsey and Adriana. Work hard, play harder, right? As for actual business meetings … I would probably suggest wearing real pants.
