It’s Monday again and I’m dreaming about two things: a double shot of espresso and this navy dress that I recently got from Nordstrom (it’s almost sold out, but this is another great option). I wore it with a floral skirt when James and I went to the courthouse right before our wedding, but I’ll save that outfit for another day. Right now, I’m loving navy as the perfect summer neutral — from this botanical print cami to this flared skirt, you really can’t go wrong … even if you get dressed before having your first cup of coffee.

Summer Weekend Wear

Happy Friday! Even though I’ve been back from Arizona for almost two weeks now, I feel like this my first real weekend of summer. Last week was dedicated to unpacking, cleaning and napping, but now I’m back in full force. The weekend starts with my favorite off-the-shoulder top (comes in four different colors and worn in mint here!), a pair of destroyed denim shorts and a brunch date with a girlfriend that I haven’t seen in forever.

Also on the to-do list: a little summer outfit shopping. One of my favorite brands is offering 40% off your entire purchase this weekend, which includes this straw clutch, this striped maxi dress and this lace skirt. I’m also currently obsessed with this floral print, which I just got in a romper and a maxi dress. Summer weekends have never looked so good. TGIF loves!

Trapeze Act

You know what the best thing about post-nuptial life is? NO DIETS. Not that I was body-image crazy before the wedding. I was just mindful of the amount of sweets and drinks I consumed and had a strong desire to work out. All. The. Time.

Shop Swing Dresses:

Well let’s just say “healthy Jen” is on hiatus for a while — just in time for bikini season. I’m not stressing too much though. Trapeze dresses have been my jam lately. They’re my go-to outfit for overindulgent trips to Shake Shack, frozen yogurt or happy hour — pretty much everything I refrained from for the past six months.

I wear this black and white striped number at least one per week (it’s sold out, but comes in pink and white and solid white or grey). I also just got this short-sleeved swing dress in the mail yesterday and have a feeling it will get just as much love this summer.
